Robert Amirkhanyan ”Cantata for Love”

DG CONTACT has organised the premiere of “Cantata for love” of Maestro Robert Amirkhanyan with the Armenian Chamber Choir (ACC) in May 6, 2014. “Cantata for Love” was performed for the first time with the Armenian Chamber Choir conducted by the talented Chef Conductor and Artistic Director of ACC Robert Mlkeyan. The soloist of the concert is Seda Amir-Karayan (alt), a young, gifted and promising artist.

“Cantata for Love” is the latest creation of Maestro Robert Amirkhanyan. The German “Oratorienchor Heidenfeim Musical Centre” ordered it in 2012. The Premiere of “Cantata for Love” took place in July 17, 2012 in Stuttgart with the Symphonic Orchestra and Choir of Stuttgart and Seda Amir-Karayan, Chef Conductor Thomas Kammel. The Cantata was performed in Yerevan for first time in 2013 with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra.

Maestro Amirkhanyan is a world-renowned Armenian composer (National Artist of Armenia, Professor, Laureate of State Prize of Armenia and Medal of Holy Mesrop Mashots). “Cantata for Love” is underlining the notion of sacramental love as the symbol of eternity. “My Love, I enjoy life without You too, but with You I understand why…”,-says Maestro.
