Lavach’ is the name of the traditional Armenian bread. For 16 years, the Parisian band has been crisscrossing France, Armenia, Laos, Colombia, United States and Eastern Europe.
This quartet of alchemists was created by the accordionist Sévane, whose songs subtly blend genres and atmospheres: Armenian blues, electric tarantella, dub, stunning a cappella, rock n’ roll and folk-house music! Twirling her accordion from one side to the other of the stage, Sévane leads her band in a honky-tonk energy which invariably conquers the public.
The other members of Lavach’ are an acrobat violinist, a roaring guitaro-trombonist and an explosive drummer – respectively of Italian, Mexican and Polish origin. Their international fusion style is unique, inspired by traditional musics from Armenia, Bulgaria, Morocco, Colombia.., and by artists such as Pink Floyd, Arto Tunçboyaciyan, Steve Reich or Slayer!
To be released in the spring of 2016, their 4th album Girl from Erevan.
