Macha Gharibian Jazz Quartet in Yerevan & Gyumri

March 24, 2016

French Embassy in Armenia and DG Contact present "Macha Gharibian Jazz Quartet" in Yerevan on March 24 (MEZZO classic house club) and in Gyumri, on March 28 (Theatre V. Adjemian) in the frame of la "Quainzaine de le Francophonie 2016". Pianist and singer Macha Gharibian, who plays jazz that perfectly links Armenian traditional folk songs and pop music, gave two fantastic concerts with het jazz band in Armenia. Her bright compositions evoking the shade of the Ararat Mountain, Brooklyn's throb and Parisian touch inspired and touched the Armenian public. The Gyumri public was delighted and welcomed Macha in a sensitive and warm way. Macha was surrounded by David Potaux-Razel, drummer Fabrice Moreau and bassist Théo Girard, her first album “Mars” takes us on a poetic ballad based through texts by poet William Blake, musician William Parker and Macha Gharibian.
